Privacy Policy of Magic 8 Ball

This privacy policy applies to the Magic 8 Ball app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Yasan Ghaffarian (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

Depending on the features you use, the Application may also collect or process information such as app opens, in-app interactions, application configuration, personalization data, session duration, device information, operating system version, crash data, language, country or region, and unique device identifiers.

While product analytics is enabled, the Application collects event data about how the Application is used. While diagnostics is enabled, the Application collects crash and error data, along with performance data such as app start and screen rendering times and network request timings, so that faults can be diagnosed and fixed.

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information and does not show third-party ads in the Application.

The Application fetches configuration flags from Firebase Remote Config so that features can be turned on, turned off, or adjusted without shipping an update. This fetch runs regardless of your analytics and diagnostic choices, and sends an installation identifier along with general app and device information to Firebase.

When you submit feedback from the Application’s Feedback screen, the Application opens a draft email in your own mail app, prefilled with what you wrote and with the Application’s version and your device model. Nothing is transmitted by the Application itself: the message is only sent if you send it from your mail app.

The Service Provider may use information you provide voluntarily, such as when contacting support, to respond to you or provide important notices related to the Application.

Third Party Access

Pseudonymous or aggregated information may be transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in operating, improving, and supporting the Application and their service. These services may use random identifiers that are not linked between service providers. Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used, or that may be used, by the Application:
