Privacy Policy of Yasan Launcher

This privacy policy applies to the Yasan Launcher app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Yasan Ghaffarian (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

Depending on the features you use, the Application may also collect or process information such as app opens, app launches, launcher interactions, apps installed or visible on your device, launcher configuration, app organization, spaces or context features, personalization data, session duration, device information, operating system version, crash data, language, country or region, and unique device identifiers.

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information and does not show third-party ads in the Application.

The Application may use location information when you enable location-based launcher features. This can include background location when you grant the Android background location permission, so that location-based launcher behavior can work when the Application is not visible. You can revoke location permissions through your device settings.

If you grant notification access, the Application may read notification information, including notification content, while the permission is enabled. This access is used locally for launcher notification features, such as displaying notification-related state or letting you act on notifications from the launcher. You can revoke notification access through your device settings.

When you use search features in the Application, your query may be sent to the selected external provider so that provider can open or return the requested result. Product analytics, when enabled, does not require the exact query text and may use general metadata such as the result type, selected provider, or query length.

The Service Provider may use information you provide voluntarily, such as when contacting support, to respond to you or provide important notices related to the Application.

Third Party Access

Pseudonymous or aggregated information may be transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in operating, improving, and supporting the Application and their service. These services may use random identifiers that are not linked between service providers. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

Opt-Out Rights

Analytics and diagnostic reporting are off by default. You can opt in during onboarding or later in the Application’s Privacy screen, which is available from the main settings screen. Choosing “Accept All” during onboarding enables both analytics and diagnostic reporting. You can change these choices later in the Privacy screen, which also shows the tracking identifiers used by the Application.

You can also limit certain data collection by revoking Android permissions granted to the Application through your device settings, although some features may stop working after a permission is revoked.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Analytics and diagnostic data are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and according to the retention settings and policies of the third-party services used by the Application. If you’d like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at [email protected] and they will respond in a reasonable time.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider ([email protected]) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
